After landing, you vie for a spot to pack your parachute. Packing takes an experienced skydiver about 10 minutes. It takes Sioux and I about 30 minutes. It must be something genetic. It is by far the most challenging part of skydiving. Most problems in skydiving are the result of bad packing. However, if you pack too well, your parachute tends to open too quickly, producing a "hard opening" that hurts (and bruises...to which I can attest).
